How do I get to the Caracalla Spa?

The Caracalla Spa is located in the heart of the town, at Römerplatz 1 in Baden-Baden.

Here you will find detailed travel directions of how to get there.

Where can I park?

There is a parking garage with 250 spaces underneath the Caracalla Spa. Visitors to our facilities obtain a discount for the first two hours of parking: 0.50 Euro/hour. Every next hour parking: 1,- Euro. For VIP customers and ArenaVita members the first three hours are free of charge
when using our facilities. The discount is directly made by the chip.

Visitors to Baden-Baden with camper vans can make use of the local authority-run camper van site. By means of public transport (bus route 201 from the Wörthstrasse bus stop), you will be able to reach the Caracalla Spa in a matter of minutes.

What do I have to bring along?

In any case you should pack your bag with the following things: bathing clothes for the bathing area of the Caracalla Spa, towels for the bathing and sauna area, bathing shoes, possibly a bathrobe and everything you need for showering.

If you forget something, that’s no problem: you can buy everything in our Caracalla-Shop. There you can also rent towels (6,00 € rental fee / 10,00 € deposit). The showers in the Caracalla Spa are also equipped with soap dispensers and hairdryers are provided for you.

Can I bring my child with me?

Children between the age of 7 and 14 years are allowed into the bath when accompanied by an adult paying the full entrance fee. The sauna area may be used from the age of 7 years (accompanied by an adult up to the age of 14).

We offer a child care service outside the bathing area (3rd floor) with trained personnel for children from the age of 18 months. Here, your children can play and try out the various toys and games with others.

Are there any restaurants?

At our SpaRestaurant you can enjoy delicious food, pasta and salads both within and outside the bathing area of the Caracalla Spa.

The saunabar in the sauna area of the Caracalla Spa is ideal for the little breaks to relax in-between sauna rounds. Cold and hot drinks satisfy the thirst and little nibbles are on offer as refreshments.

We would kindly ask you to refrain from bringing your own food and drink.

Are there additional offers

In the bathing and sauna area high quality solariums are available which guarantee healthy tanning.

The Caracalla Spa can be ideally combined with a training in the ArenaVita Premium Fitness or with the beauty- and wellness-treatments in CaraVitalis.

Which effects does the thermal water have?

Baden-Baden’s thermal water rises from a depth of 2000 metres and thanks to being highly mineralised, with approx. 3000 milligrams of minerals per litre, it ranks among Germany’s top mineral-rich waters. With temperatures of between 32° and 68°C, it regenerates and stimulates the entire body enhancing your wellbeing and aiding relaxation.

Can I take my glasses into the sauna complex?

You can of course take your glasses into the sauna complex with you. In front of each sauna you will find plenty of shelves where you can briefly leave them. Due to the high temperatures in the saunas and the humidity in the steam bath, we recommend removing your glasses before using these facilities to prevent damage occurring.

May I take photographs?

You are more than welcome to record your visit to us by taking pictures of yourself and your loved ones. In view of other visitors, however, it is not allowed to take photographs in the bathing area and sauna complex. In order to enjoy 100% relaxation and to successfully top up your energy reserves, mobile phones should be set to silent mode or ideally left at home.
